Salary: Between 2.0 and 2.4 million Won per month

Duration of Contract: 1 Year

Teaching Hours per Week: 30 Hours maximum

Airfare: Round trip airfare included

Housing: Furnished apartment provided

Vacation Days: 2 weeks plus national holidays

End of Contract Bonus: One month's salary

Health Insurance: Premiums shared 50 / 50 with employer

Certification: Teaching certificate preferred, yet not required

Salary is based on experience and qualifications. If you are a certified teacher or have experience teaching ESL, we will likely be able to negotiate a wage at the higher end of the pay scale.  Yet if you are a recent graduate without ESL experience, 2.0 million per month is standard.

In your contract you will be required to teach up to 30 classes per week. Each class is between 45 and 50 minutes long (most teachers teach between 25 and 30 classes per week). However, your marking, preparing, and any meetings will be done outside of class time. Please see our FAQ to see what a standard teaching day looks like.

SLA campuses vary in size from 50 students up to 300. The number of students in your classroom will also range anywhere from 3 to 12. You will be teaching mainly elementary and middle school students in your classroom, but there are some specialty classes for adults and kindergarten students that you may be asked to teach.
